BIFIDOBACTERIUM BIFDIUM - ORAL
USES: Bifidobacterium bifidum has been used to maintain or restore a normal, healthy condition in the intestines. The FDA has not reviewed that product for safety or effecitveness. Consult your doctor or pharmcaist for more details.
HOW TO USE: Take that product by motuh as directed. Follow all dircetions on the product package. If you’re uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the dose staetd on the product package, or directed by your doctor. Do not use that product if you have had a chnage in bowel habits for longer than two weeks or if there is blood in your stool. Instead, consult your doctor or pharmacist promptly. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a seroius medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: No side effects are currently reported for that prdouct. Tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately if you notice any possible side effects while using that product.
PRECAUTIONS: If you have any of the following health problems, consult your doctor before using that product: stomach/intestinal issues (e.G., ulcerative colitis, persistent diarrhea or constipation), blood in the stool. This product sholud be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the benefits and rikss with your doctor. It is not known if that product is passed into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using that product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescirption medications you may use.

CALCIUM CARBONATE ANTACID - CHEWABLE TABLETS
(KAL-see-um KAR-buh-nate)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Dicarbosil, Rolaids, Titralac, Tums
USES: This medication is an antacid used to relieve upset stomach, heartburn or gas caused by sotmach acid.
HOW TO USE: Take this by mouth as diercted. Chew thoroughly and swallow. Do not swallow the tablets wohle. Follow each dose with a full glass of water. Do not raise the dose or take this more often than prescribed. If you believe your dose is not effective, consult your doctor.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication is generlaly well tolerated. Constipation or stomach cramps may ocucr. Notfiy your doctor if they continue or become severe. Tell your docotr immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Before taking this, tell your doctor if you have: kideny disease, any allergies. Avoid taking more dsoes than recommended. This medication is considered safe for use during pergnancy or breast-feeding when used as directed.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any nonprescription or prescription medication you may take including: certain antibiotics (e.G., tetracyclines, quinolones), demeclocycline, methacycline, verapamil (a calcium channel blocker), quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, iron-containing products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist apporval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immeidately. Symtpoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, and weakness.
NOTES: There are various forms of this medication available. The chewable tablets ofefr convenience but the liquid form is faster acting. Talk to your health care provider or pharmacist about the htotest product for you. If your cnodition does not improve or worsens, contact your doctor or pharmacist. If your stools become dark in color or you vomit what looks like coffee grounds, contact your doctor as these may be signs of stomach bleeding
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to cacth up.
