Come see Age of Conan live in Oslo!

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

As some aoc gold of you might have heard, we’re kicking off the launch for Age of Conan with a barbaric gathering here in Oslo. We’re doing this in two stages on Tuesday May 13th .

During the day, at 12:00 CET, we’re doing a presentation of the game at Latter Aker Brygge where we will show the game’s exclusive features and content. Seating is limited and is reserved for journalists, but we will have quite a few extra seats for some of Oslo’s Age of Conan fans. We can’t guarantee a seat, but if you meet up outside Latter on Aker Brygge at 12:00 CET, there might be a chance for you to get in!

In the evening we’re hosting a huge party in Holmenkollen – one of Norway’s key national wonders – where we’re building an entire Cimmerian war camp to honor the release of our game (and possibly wage war on the evil wizard inhabiting the tower!). And guess what? Those of you who actually get into the presentation during the day will have a chance of also being invited to the party in Holmenkollen!

Again, seating at the presentation is limited and so is access to the party. But with some luck you might be one of those who get to send Age of Conan into history!

By Crom! This will rock age of conan gold !

Details on Siege PvP

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

Associate Producer Morten Byom explains aoc gold some of the Massive PvP gameplay features and changes in detail.

Hey,

Just wanted to write a few lines to clarify a few of the gameplay features involved in the Massive PvP system. With this I hope to better explain what we are trying to achieve with the system and some of the changes that we will do to improve it.

First off I would like to thank everyone for the valuable feedback you have all expressed on our forums. We are dedicated to make the absolutely best experience for the players and we can only do this with the help of the community and the beta testers.

Vulnerability Window

The vulnerability window GUI will list all the battlekeeps, the owner of these keeps, when the battlekeeps are open for attack, and finally any guilds that currently have the right to attack and the number of Guild PvP points that guilds have.

If your guild chooses to declare war on another guilds battlekeep, they will do this through the vulnerability window GUI. The Guild selects the city they wish to declare an attack on and they will be listed as a potential attacker for this battle. 24 hours prior to the fight starting the vulnerability window will be locked and an attacker is declared. At this time no changes to the attackers can be made.

When your guild has won a Massive PvP fight and claimed ownership of the Battlekeep the system will automatically set the vulnerability window of your battlekeep to be open in 3 days. Your guild can choose to move this window a few hours back and forth in time to better suit the playing time for their guild.

If you choose to own a battlekeep and all the bonuses it provides, you will be expected to defend it periodically. However we acknowledge the fact that people also wish enjoy all the other aspects of the game, and the vulnerability window was implemented to give the defending guild a break between battles.

Guild PvP Points

When there is a dispute between multiple guilds for the right to lay siege to a battlekeep, the Guild PvP points will be used to determine which guild should be allowed to conduct the attack.

These points will be generated for the guild by the individual players of that guild. There will be two ways that these points will be obtained. First it will be awarded to the guild if a guild member participates in a PvP minigame. Secondly, based on your feedback, we will give points when guild members gain PvP experience. The exact ratio between these two is not set, and I encourage you all to give feedback on this to help us balance the two. You could even see if you have any other PvP related activity that should be rewarded this way. The point is, there will be a conflict between several guilds on the right to attack! This conflict must be resolved in a fair, or at least in the fairest, way we can find. This fairness must be PvP related. Rewarding anything else seems out of place to the team.

When the battle is started the attacking guilds PvP Points aoc gold are reset to zero. This is done to allow all guilds a chance at taking part of the siege gameplay, even those that are not the most active PvP guilds.

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

The highly anticipated MMO aoc gold scheduled for fully localized Polish release in second half of 2008 as CD Projekt enters Service Partnership Agreement with Funcom.

Funcom and CD Projekt are delighted to announce the signing of a Service Partnership Agreement for a Polish version of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. “It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that we are announcing this partnership, one that proves to be yet another milestone for our company – releasing the first subscription MMORPG fully localized into Polish.” said Michał Kiciński, joint CEO of CD Projekt. “We are committed to providing a new level of game experience through the use of local game masters, community managers and customer support. For years we have waited for the right MMO game to come along and now it is here, in our hands.”

“CD Projekt has an impressive track record both as a developer and distributor, and they have done excellent localization and distribution work on other Funcom titles such as The Longest Journey. Escalating our collaboration to a whole new level is something we truly look forward to,“ said Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. “We believe a key aspect in making Age of Conan successful around Europe is to work closely with great local partners such as CD Projekt. In many countries it is essential to release in the local language to truly succeed, and Poland is definitively such a territory. While we rarely show “blooper reel”-style material, this particular screenshot was too funny not to show. Call it “The Perils of Photography in aoc gold Hyboria.”
